Crunch

February 17, 2013

My first post in quite a while… and something based very much on another idea I saw elsewhere… sadly I forget where. The good thing about this photo is that it taught me that I don’t actually hate Oreos after all.

Since it’s been so long, hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year! πŸ™‚

Juicer

November 4, 2012

It’s been good having a week off work, although I extended that to a week off from running and a week off from posting… (mainly because when I remembered, I couldn’t be bothered) πŸ™‚

Here’s a macro shot of a lemon juicer…

Isle of Wight – Lavender

October 20, 2012

If you’ve never been to the Isle of Wight and are ever nearby (i.e. in Southern England), give it a visit. A weekend is more than enough time to see it, and of course, go in Summer! Within a 30 minute period, one can drive across the island… πŸ™‚ Aside from the beautiful beaches I highly recommend a visit The Garlic Farm, and to the Lavender Farm.

Have a great week πŸ™‚

Toothbrush

October 7, 2012

I’ll be honest here… I DO judge books by their covers, if the cover looks good, I’ll pick it up, have a flick through, read the blurb and that’ll be the decider on whether I’ll read it or not. Same with toothbrushes πŸ™‚ – I buy ones that look good to me… I wonder if anyone else does…

Making Lemonade

August 26, 2012

On a hot summer’s day, there’s nothing more satisfying than home made lemonade.

Bubble Blue

May 13, 2012

Well, this has been the first sunny weekend in maybe a couple of months. Saturday – sunny, Sunday – sunny. Beautiful!

and… what a lovely weekend it’s been. We took advantage of the lovely weather to get outdoors heading down to Pooh Country (Ashdown Forest), childhood home of A. A. Milne and the inspiration for his lovely works. Just wandering about in the hills, stumbling upon the enchanted forest, piglet’s pit and of course, playing poohsticks on the bridge. Lovely and most wonderfully, not in any way, shape or form commercialised. Free to do, and a lot of charming, easy happiness. What more can one ask for?

Well, after that, I noticed that we weren’t too far from Brighton so, rather than heading home, we headed further away, to the beach for a couple of hours. Lovely!

Of course, my camera was with Β me, so now I just have to PP the 400+ shots.. πŸ™‚ – I’m sure I’ll reduce that down when I throw out the rubbish photos.

Today – Theme Park Day – Back to Chessington, first time this year and, despite the gorgeous weather… not at all busy.

Best weekend this year. πŸ™‚

This is one of those photos with an obvious name… I really don’t like naming photos and so, I end up with stating the obvious for… it’s blue and has bubbles in it.

Have a great week πŸ™‚

Smarties Refraction

May 6, 2012

These are some refraction photos that I took a few weeks ago, with the kids. A lot of fun was had by all, especially them, after the photo shoot when they ate the subjects…

Oil and Water

March 25, 2012

This past weekend was a lot of fun and very tiring. We stayed at the Legoland Hotel this past weekend just as it was being invaded by Star Wars characters. Coming to breakfast to see armed storm troopers is a great sight. πŸ™‚

Anyway, the picture below was a lot of fun to create. Oil drops in water, with wrapping paper underneath. One child doing the lighting, the other pressing the trigger button and me doing the focusing… fun πŸ™‚
