And finally… Elliot and Joshua

October 29, 2010

This is a rare photograph, the two of them sitting together and posing, happily. I have to first of persuade them this photo is for their nana, secondly tell them if they do this I’ll give them sweets (I’m a responsible father) and finally click quick enough to capture that one moment where they’re both looking at the camera.

Enjoy any Halloween parties that you may attend and, as always…

Have a great weekend. 😉

Here’s a photo of Joshua taken that, sums him up…

October 27, 2010

Here’s my second photo of Elliot. It was taken on one of our many forest walks and what I love about this photo, is the capture of the bark that he’s just kicked into the air. This photo really sums Elliot up well.

This is Joshua, he’s 2. Like Elliot, without a doubt, he’s the naughtiest little boy ever… still, he’s mischievously fun. 🙂

October 24, 2010

I’ve always been loathed to putting personal photos online, what I mean by that is putting photos of me, or especially photos of my kids online. Sure, I share things with my friends on Facebook but, that’s controlled, it’s not publically available (although yes, I know, you put on Facebook, you lose some of your rights). Some of the other bloggers quite happily put up photos of their kids and, some of those photos are wonderful. There are a few photos of my two boys that I adore, so, I figured it was about time to post them.

Elliot is 4  and he’s a fun, lively kid. He’s smart, very bright, well behaved and easy going and he loves to play around in front of the camera. When he’s older, I don’t think he’ll be the guy that goes onto a show such as The X Factor, he’ll be the one hosting it. 🙂

Wee Three Ducks

October 22, 2010

Although it’s not Christmas, the shops are piling high and the lights are already out (here in England). Crazy… Christmas is in December.. it’s far too early to put lights up. Anyway, here’s another photo from our Sunday walk. We left just as the sun was starting to set. I’d have liked to have stayed a bit longer but, we were getting hungry!

Have a great weekend.

California Country Park

October 21, 2010

On Sunday, we took the kids for a walk around the pond in California Country Park. A pleasant walk it was with lots of happy ducks. 🙂

Candle Reflection

October 20, 2010

A while back, I’d bought this candle with the aim of getting a great photograph that was pictured in my mind. I just couldn’t make it work though. 😦 Here though the candle makes a reappearance to try to get a reflection photo. It just about works.

The Forest

October 19, 2010

Last week, Christos and I got up early and met up in Virginia Waters for some pre-work photography. Sadly, the sun was not chirpy and happy and the morning was quite dismal and cloudly. Worse still, all the photos I took sucked. So, after running this photoshop, I have something that I don’t dislike as much as I did previously. Although it doesn’t look like it, this was taken with a wide angle lense. My first time using one of those, courtesy of Christos.

Sometimes, you can click, click, click but, the photographs don’t come. Sure, a print appears but, it’s just not right. That’s how my weekend was. A lot of photographs but none that seemed quite right. Eventually, I managed to get 5 that I was happy with. A lot got junked (I don’t believe in storing photos unless I like them). Next week though, I have a week off work. Halloween week  means lots of photo opportunities and, scary movies. Awesome!
