Somewhat flat oranges… but, they tasted good.

One of the greatest things about food/drink photography is eating the model… πŸ˜€

So, I know, this isn’t the greatest photo in the world and didn’t exactly turn out as I wanted to… but, hey, I got 4th place in the refreshing comp with this, 2nd with the lemonade collage and 1st with the previous ice and a slice 7up free post so.. what the heck, thought I’d post it anyway…

For anyone else that is trying to quit high sugar drinks but misses the fizz… here’s a recommendation, sparking water (the cheap stuff from your supermarket is fine) and a little bit of squash… works a treat. πŸ™‚

Street Food

August 12, 2012

I love Wahaca, great mexican food (although I’ve never been to Mexico so cannot really judge). Β They have this lovely little street van in Covent Garden which was perfectly set to be photographed. I spent the last week in Denmark which is without doubt the most expensive country I’ve ever visited! Still, it presented me with lots of photos that I now have to process… πŸ˜€

ds287 – Cold

September 6, 2010

Most days after dinner, we have a desert. It’s not always fatty, often it’s fruit (okay.. covered with a thin (ish) layer of ice cream). Today was a special day. Today was the day that, after I created the desert, nobody could eat it as I needed to photograph it. Β Worse than that, Β I created the desert specifically for the photo (and will probably redo a nicer version of it), then separated it down to put on top of the apple pie. (I didn’t create the apple pie.. I can and have done previously but, store bought this time). 😦 (and no photo either).

Anyway, here’s the first of my not- dailyshoot-dailyshoot photos, COLD.

OH.. before I forget… this wasn’t taken with an SLR, as I played and finally figured out the shot I wanted, I got the ‘Please Change the battery’ message. 😦 Luckily my tiny Canon handheld was ready and available to create this photo (which I hadn’t even seen through the DSLR)!
