New place to share

September 27, 2013

Hello all, as you know I’ve not been using wordpress much of late and I’ve not been keeping up with everyone’s blogs. More and more I find that Facebook is a  easier medium to consume artwork. As such I’ve set up a Facebook group for like minded people to share and chat about photography and art. You can find the group by searching for Click & Paint or via me at http://www.facebook.com/nigel.cardozo – I hope to see you there – feel free to invite your friends.

Nyhavn

This is Nyhavn in Copenhagen. If you love drinking, you’ll like it, if not you’ll get bored pretty quickly.

Virginia Waters

April 29, 2012

There’s been a pleasant spike in visitors recently for which I’m really grateful for. I try to visit the blogs of everyone that leaves a like or comment but, sometimes the likes don’t have links…. Thank you to everyone that visits, and to those that leave  a like or comment, it’s very much appreciated.

After a recent slump today I got back into taking some photos… a new batch… and still a few more ideas to work through next weekend. I tend to do batch photograph, then process them and have a few months worth. Right… right, it’s not ‘right’ but, it works for me… that way I can dedicate some time when I have it… and relax when I don’t.

Have a great week 🙂

Eggs on Forks.

April 15, 2012

Eggs. you can fry them, poach them, scramble them and boil them or, you could paint them with light.

My recipe:

Take one egg, place on two forks that are intertwined.

Turn off lights and ensure eggs on forks are sitting on a white board.

Set camera to timed exposure and aperture to around f10.

Set time to 30 seconds, and click shutter button (a remote trigger is recommended).

Whilst the time is elapsing, use a torch to paint the egg, and then swing it around to create a lovely background pattern.

Import into lightroom and then perform minor alterations until perfect.

Export to WordPress and enjoy…

Have a great week 🙂

Breaking Dawn

February 19, 2012

The last week was good, being half term I decided to take the week off to spend with the children. No work in the bathroom (well, actually there’s a little left to do but bah…), no plans to go anywhere just relaxing. Was good 🙂 Sadly Monday means back to work 😦 Boo…

Oh well, took a few more photos to add to my stash, played with the kids and found that the cinema is just sooooo expensive! £50 for a family ticket and some popcorn and drinks… and they wonder why people pirate movies!

Merry Christmas

December 24, 2011

So, the kids are tucked up in bed awaiting Santa Claus and finally asleep, the presents are wrapped and I’m now watching Gremlins and posting my Christmas blog. 🙂 To me, the best Christmas photos involve lights, and Christmas lights tends to lead to beautiful bokeh shots. That being the case, here’s my contribution to this year’s collection of such photographs 😀

I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and hope you all have an enjoyable, safe and relaxing one. I hope that Santa brings you whatever you are wanting and that you don’t spend too much in the post Christmas sales 🙂

As always, have a great week 🙂
