This is the most pathetically named of this week’s posts. Sorry. I love the detail on this big fuzzy bumble bee, he’s gorgeous. Despite the day looking miserable to start with, it brightened up, the sun came out and the wind abated so that the flowers weren’t blowing around and making my macro life difficult. This bee was also kind enough to stay in one place long enough for me to get closer than I’d normally do.

  1. Real nice Nigel. Love the colors on the Buddleia bloom while the bee is doing its thing πŸ˜‰

  2. and I appreciate you telling me what the flower was. πŸ˜€ As you can guess, I didn’t know.. πŸ˜€

  3. Lovely photo, particularly the way a few flowers come into focus along with the buzzbee! (I like the title!)

  4. Ooo, I really like this shot, it is very pretty! It’s so soft. The bee is so fuzzy wuzzy and the flower’s pastel color is also calm looking…I really like the matchup!

  5. LOVE the detail of BuzzBee’s right wing and back, great shot! Sasi, I now know who to go to when I need to identify a flower!! πŸ˜›

  6. Nice shot, love the colours!

  7. Great shot Nigel. I really like the color contrast here.

  8. Nice detail on bee’s wings. Hey, don’t let the cute and fuzziness trick you into believing it’s harmless. I got stung by one of those cute fuzzy things. πŸ™‚

    • Yesterday, a lady at work started screaming, then she jumped up shouting, there’s something in my shirt and ran out of the room. She came back later after having been stung twice. It was a wasp though, not one of those cute fuzzy wuzzy bees πŸ˜‰
