This beautiful building can be found in Canary Wharf. I have no idea what it is, or who works in there… but it’s worthy of a photo..
Have a great week
I went out today to a butterfly conservation area. I figured that it’d have some beautiful flowers, butterflies and bees. It had… none. So, then I visited a steam fair which we found in the area. Awful, was like some weird Craggy Island fair (google it). Consquently I got no photos … still, here instead is a photo taken from the best area in Lisbon, Parque das Nações. For an expo a few years ago, this place was recreated. It’s now home to an Oceanarium, Science Park, cable cars, variety of businesses, a huge shopping centre and best of all, wonderful outdoor art installations. Architecturally, it’s the very best part of Lisbon. So basically, if you have just a few hours in Lisbon, get the metro to this place and enjoy yourself. One word of advice, don’t take that little blue train ride, it’s awful, boring, pointless, bumpy and will just cost you 30 minutes of your life that you can never get back!
This bridge was one of the items that I wanted to see in Bristol, the other being One Glass Wharf. I love the design of this bridge and think it would look beautiful, all lit up at night. I figured that taking a photo from underneath would work better than one taken from the top. I’ve just realise that Bristol does have quite a few bridges… I guess that makes sense due to the river that runs through it!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that takes the time to leave me any comments. I really appreciate the positive comment, they keep me motivated to keep clicking. Please feel free to also leave me feedback on how you think I could improve this, or any other photograph.
Have a great week…
I went to Bristol on Saturday and took a walk around with the kids. I’ve been there a couple of times now and I do want to go back and stick around until the late evening. Bristol is a wonderful city, with many amazing buildings that are crying out for the good lighting that only a good sunset can bestow. I realised today that I don’t generally take many photographs of buildings, which is strange because, I actually quite like modern architecture. After my photoshoot, I sent a lot more time with Lightroom, rather than just upping the curves, I’ve spent more time trying to bring out the best in the photographs. Not sure if it’s worked but, we’ll see
The photo below is of ‘One Glass Wharf’, a spectacular looking building which I was pleased to find. I really wish that I’d had the time to stick around until the evening to get a good photo with the building lights on, and a great reflection in the river. I’ll have to make the effort to go back to do just this!
Have a great week
